New Updates – Domain Name Portfolio Management Software

We have updated the following domain name portfolio management software products.

The new additions / changes include

Now you can define http based proxy for any specific whois server. Please see http based whois.
Support for HTTP/1.1 based whois proxy script (only if you use web based whois). Previous versions worked only if the whois script was uploaded to a hosting account with a dedicated IP address. It now supports virtual hosts.
Name servers are always displayed in lower case now. Previously it was picked up exactly as it is in the last read whois data. This caused the NS data to be shown in mix of lowercase and uppercase.
Secondary lookup support for CC domains. CC domains require a second lookup (similar to NET/COM/TV domains). The software does it automatically now.
When you open a new document and lookups are in progress, you will be prompted to stop the lookups.
The Whois Setup dialog displayed a harmless ”Delete Selected” button that did nothing. This was removed.

Stainless: A Useful Alternate Browser for Mac OS X Users

Stainless is a free browser for Mac OS X (Leopard and Snow Leopard) that allows multiple sessions.

According to the developers, Stainless is inspired by Google Chrome and already has features not found in Chrome.

How To Reinstall Purchased Software Products.

It is a new year! Judging from the number of “lost registration code” emails we have received so far, many of our customers seem to have purchased new computers or upgraded their OS to Windows 7.

Anyway, this is a quick note to inform all paid customers that they can contact us if the original purchase information has been lost.

We have customers from as far back as 2000 March. Some of you will find newer (major) versions of the products you had purchased. In such cases your old registration code will not work. So, look for a download link to the older version (if available) or contact us for upgrading to the newer version. You can always purchase upgrades at special prices.

No More CN Domain Registrations through Overseas Registrars

CNNIC, the official registry for .CN, has temporarily stopped overseas registrars from offering .CN domains. The ban is with effect from January 6, 2010.

This is supposedly because of difficulties with implementing the new registration application procedures.
